Allan Wasserman on alto sax, playing at Pinnochio's Pizza in Pasadena

June 26 - On Saturday night, we went to hear Allan Wasserman and his jazz ensemble play at Pinnochio’s Pizza in Pasadena. Allan Wasserman is the kind of man who doesn’t do anything halfway - I remember hearing a few years ago that he was “taking the sax up again”. Not too long after that, he was sitting in with bands and getting ready to form his own.

If he looks familiar, maybe you’ve seen him in one of his many Guest Starring roles. He’s appeared in The Office, ER, Boston Legal, and The Sopranos - just to name a few.  Earlier this year I went to hear him take on the role of Bernie Madoff in the reading of a play. I try to make it to anything that Allan’s involved in because I know it will be fun, taken seriously.
